When should you clean the coils on the back of your refrigerator?
Vacuum the coils on the back of your refrigerator on a routine basis. We recommend vacuuming the refrigerator coils every 6 months unless you have dogs or cats, in which case you should vacuum the coils every 3 months.
What should you use to keep odors out of the refrigerator?
To keep mild odors out of the refrigerator, use baking soda. To remove strong odors from your refrigerator, use charcoal.
What is the proper way to store a refrigerator that is not being used?
To store a refrigerator for a long period of time, prop the doors open and store it in an upright position.
Freezer Repair and Maintenance Questions
What temperature should the freezer be at?
For longest freezer life, keep your freezer set between 0-10 degrees
Microwave Repair and Maintenance Questions
What is the best way to clean the microwave?
Microwaves can easily be cleaned by putting a cup of water in the microwave, heating the water until it boils and steams up the inside of the microwave, and then carefully wiping the insides of the microwave with a soft cloth.
Garbage Disposal Repair and Maintenance Questions
How can I flush out my garbage disposal?
To remove unpleasant odors from your garbage disposal, pour a mixture of water and baking soda in it while running the disposal. To flush your garbage disposal of deposits, put ice cubes in it and run the disposal for 30 seconds.
Oven Repair and Maintenance Questions
Is it okay to use oven cleaner on a self-cleaning oven?
Self-cleaning ovens are not designed to be used with oven cleaner. If you do so, you will likely ruin the interior of your oven and your oven’s ability to self clean.

What temperature should the water in the dishwasher be at for proper sanitation?
For your dishwasher to sanitize, the water should be 130-140 degrees.
Why does my silverware get damaged in the dishwasher?
If your dishwasher is damaging your silverware, check your owner’s manual to find out what kind of detergent your dishwasher is designed to use.
